[MDK 5.14.0] Why does the aircraft slightly yaw or rotate when I adjust the gimbal pitch angle on a drone?
DJI SDK : KeyRotateByAngle
mode : GimbalAngleRotationModeABSOLUTE_ANGLE
I’ve noticed that the aircraft slightly rotates when adjusting the gimbal pitch angle.
This behavior seems abnormal, as the aircraft should remain stable while controlling only the gimbal.

Dear Developer, Hello and thank you for reaching out to DJI Innovations. What is the drone model and gimbal you are using? Does this issue occur every time? Are there other factors in the environment that could cause the aircraft to rotate, such as strong winds? When flying using the Pilot 2 APP or adjusting the gimbal's pitch angle with the remote controller's dial, does the same situation occur? We appreciate your email and wish you a wonderful day! Best Regards, DJI Innovations SDK Technical Support Team -
Aircraft: Matrice 4 E, M30
-
This issue is not related to strong winds.
-
The issue does not occur when controlling the gimbal using the remote controller dial.
-
The issue can be easily reproduced when using the DJI SDK KeyRotateByAngle with the ABSOLUTE_ANGLE mode by repeatedly setting the pitch to different angles.
-
This issue does not occur on the M300RTK aircraft.

Dear Developer, Hello and thank you for reaching out to DJI Innovations. Have you rotated the pitch angle of the gimbal beyond the limit value? You can obtain the controllable range through keyGimbalAttitudeRange. Or refer to the technical parameters. Generally, it is the rotation of the yaw of the gimbal that may cause the aircraft to rotate. You can try setting KeyGimbalMode to "free". link:https://sdk-forum.dji.net/hc/en-us/articles/14657158053529-Why-does-turning-the-gimbal-yaw-axis-cause-the-aircraft-to-rotate We appreciate your email and wish you a wonderful day! Dear Developer, I hope this email finds you well Yes, usually, turning the pitch angle of the pan-tilt has nothing to do with the yaw angle. We haven't reproduced the situation you described on our side. When you set the GimbalAngleRotation, you can try setting both yawIgnored and rollIgnored to true. Or, instead of quickly turning the pitch angle by a large margin all at once, try turning it by a smaller angle to see if the same problem occurs. We appreciate your email and wish you a wonderful day! Best Regards, DJI Innovations SDK Technical Support Team
