Timeout when trying to upload waypoint mission to Air 2s

I'm trying to get waypoint missions to work with the Air 2s. So far I have gotten video to work with the new SDK version (4.16) but as soon as I try to upload a waypoint mission I get the following error "Execution of this process has timed out(code:-1003)". The waypoint missions work fine on Mavic 2-models. Is there anything that has to been done differently for the Air 2s to work? Does it even support waypoint missions? 

This is really important for us since we have a lot of customers relying on us to provide drone mission support but the Air 2s is now the only model available for purchase that might support it...

  Sorry, Mini, Mini SE, Mini 2, Air 2, Air2s are not support waypointMission in firmware. SDK cannot do anything with it. Litchi has designed their own waypointMission based on virtual stick, they are not using our waypointMission API.

  I see, thank you for the detailed answer! Do you have any idea about if it is the intention to support waypoints for Air 2s or Mavic 3 in the future?

  There is no intention to support waypoints for consumer level products such as Mini series, Air series and Mavic 3 series at the moment.

  That is very unfortunate. Our apps motivate our customers to buy several hundreds of DJI consumer drones and as we are expanding possibly thousands. I know that we are not alone in creating that sort of applications therefore it is hard for me to understand how this can not be of higher priority to DJI...
