Retrieving Smart Controller Button Press via DJI Cloud SDK
CompletedHello everyone,
I am currently working with the DJI Cloud SDK, and I have successfully integrated it to receive continuous geolocation data from the laser rangefinder of my Matrice 300. Now, I would like to give the operator of the smart controller the ability to send the laser’s current geolocation at a specific moment.
My idea is to trigger this action by capturing a button press from the smart controller, for instance, the 5D button, but I am open to other suggestions. The goal is to capture the current geolocation of the laser at the moment of the button press and then send that specific coordinate.
I'm aware that developing a custom app would be a possible solution, but I would prefer to continue using the original DJI Pilot app, as running both a custom app and the Pilot app simultaneously isn't possible, to my knowledge.
Does the DJI Cloud SDK offer any way to capture button presses from the smart controller? Or is there any other method to achieve this functionality while still using the Pilot app?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Dear Developer, Hello and thank you for reaching out to DJI Innovations. The CloudAPI currently only supports obtaining latitude and longitude information from the laser rangefinder for drones under Dock1. This feature cannot be automatically enabled or disabled; when a drone is equipped with a laser rangefinder, it will automatically report this data. We hope that our solution meets your needs satisfactorily. We appreciate your email and wish you a wonderful day! Best Regards, DJI Innovations SDK Technical Support Team -
Dear Developer, Hello and thank you for reaching out to DJI Innovations. MSDK V5 does include a laser rangefinder interface. You can refer to this article: 第九章:相机 You can use MSDK for related development. Currently, cloud integration is only compatible with the Pilot app, and simultaneous use with other apps is not supported. We hope that our solution meets your needs satisfactorily.
