Mini 2 SE - SDK release request
Completed-
Please provide support for Mini 2 SE as it is recent model and that, as someone that just bought one, should be one of the reasons to provide support of it; it doesn't make sense to not support brand new products; that's not the way to support customers and pass the best image of a company concerned with its end users.
There are a bunch of requests for this in multiple threads, so for sure there's interest on it. How hard is it to provide support for it on existing code base?

We’ve just upgraded a fleet from se to 2se and found this out the hard way!
I can’t believe the the sdk is available for the model below and above the 2SE
This is a huge disappointment and has impacted our students projects.
Research online shows that the DJI community are calling out for this, and it’s a fair expectation considering the precedent.
Do DJI deliberately not want to release this? The work should be trivial with a port and prune of the 2 code.
I’m sure a crowd funding could be arranged if money is the issue! Please don’t let your users down, can you please provide clarity on if this will be done or should we go back to looking for SE models?
Cheers

It's a disappointment for DJI to say not supported as they release the device and say not supported, that is poor customer service. If DJI development teams thinks not their business, as a brand it is your best interest to support. As a major company and you wanted to get BAD review on the product? I don't think it will be good for the branding.

this was another message I had from DJI but nothing happen since

Since we have released the DJI Mobile SDK 5.0.0 Version, we have received lots of valuable feedback from our developers. Now we wish to collect the evaluation of this version from you.
Please take your time to complete our survey. If you have completed our survey before, please do not repeat it. Thanks!

Yes, their reply is absolute rubbish. The port from 2 to 2SE would be literally a couple of hours work.
I strongly suspect that this is simply a strategic decision to not make the 2SE better and force consumers to higher spec drones.
It's a real strategic miss when they could be leaders in the market and open up their user base to the education market, where students can use these drones in part of their courses and research.
They will price themselves out of this market, not to mention the huge loss of faith in them supporting their client base and following the precent set with the API for the SE and 2. Makes no sense at all.

Yes, this was the reply I received overnight in regard to my query.
I feel very disappointed in my purchase now, I should never suggested we upgrade to the 2SE and stuck with the SE.
It's crazy how simple this would be for them to release and the response below does not show any support for the consumer base that got them started,
We apologize for any inconvenience caused. In the future, the SDK will focus more on industry applications, which means that the majority of consumer drones will no longer be supported by the SDK. We appreciate your understanding.
Best regards,
DJI Dev Team
