Lack of progress on DJI Cloud API
CompletedDisappointment has grown as we have noticed that only two enhancements were released during this three-month period. This stagnation has sparked speculations and raised questions about the future of the DJI Cloud API for non-docked versions.
The DJI Cloud API has been a crucial resource for developers, allowing them to harness the full potential of DJI drones and create innovative solutions for a multitude of industries, ranging from aerial photography to surveying and beyond. Its continuous development and improvement are vital to keeping up with the ever-evolving technology landscape.
The lack of notable progress has led us to wonder if DJI is shifting its focus away from supporting non-docked versions of their drones. These concerns have raised eyebrows within the drone community, as many have invested time and resources into building applications that rely on a stable and evolving API.
Several keys are listed in the https://developer.dji.com/doc/cloud-api-tutorial/en/api-reference/pilot-to-cloud/mqtt/aircraft/properties.html page but no action has been taken to support those listings. Features like making OSD reporting faster are critical for our needs, Others like current camera stream source would be very beneficial. Liveview_world_region would also be a great one. These are very easy to implement in the MSDK but it would be great to have better functionality without having to build a whole MSDK application which is why the cloud came out in the first place.

I hope you're having a wonderful day! I have some exciting news to share with you. In the next version of our Cloud API, we will be supporting the Megaphone requirement. Isn't that fantastic? 😄 Now, let's talk about the more frequent osd reporting feature you mentioned. We would be more than happy to assist you with that. To get started, all you need to do is submit a request ticket. Once we receive your request, our amazing team will evaluate it and take the necessary steps to fulfill your request.
