We hope this message finds you well.

We have an inquiry regarding the usage of the methods putCameraStreamSurface and removeCameraStreamSurface for initiating and terminating a video stream, respectively. Specifically, we would like to clarify whether it is necessary to release resources associated with the surface on which the video stream is rendered.

Understanding that putCameraStreamSurface is utilized to initiate the video stream and removeCameraStreamSurface is employed to terminate it, both of these methods take a surface as input arguments. However, our concern lies in whether additional resource cleanup for the view is required after halting the video stream.

We are keen to ensure proper resource management to avoid memory leaks or other potential issues. Could you kindly provide clarification on this matter?

We are utilizing the latest version of DJI MSDK, version 5.8.0.

  The `removeCameraStreamSurface` method only clears the surface internally in the decoder, and it does not affect the surfaceView in your layout. If you need to completely clear the surfaceView, you will have to do it.
