visual SLAM for consumer grade DJI

for a research project I am planning to use the Mobile SDK to develop a visual SLAM system for precise navigation in GPS denied areas using a DJI Mavic 3 E. I specifically wonder, if it is possible to do the photogrammetric processing of the near real time images on the laptop. So I would connect with drone with the RC and connect the RC with a USB C cable tot the laptop - Is this possible?
I would greatly appreciate any further ideas / Pseudo code / recommendations for predefined commands to get me started on the project.
